Vitalex Contour Memory Pillow

About the Vitalex contour pillow

The Vitalex contour pillow carries a shaped surface rather than a flat one. The front edge rises to cradle the neck. The centre dips to take the head, which keeps the spine in line from the base of the skull down through the shoulders. Sleepers who wake with a stiff neck are the reason this shape exists.

The foam is springy and firm to the touch, so it holds its shape under the neck. An air exchange system runs through the pillow so heat does not build up inside it. That trapped heat is the complaint most people have about a firm memory pillow.

Who the Vitalex contour pillow suits

It suits stomach, side and back sleepers. It is also the model we suggest first to anyone dealing with neck pain. The contour holds the neck whether you sleep on your side or flat. So you do not have to change position to get support.

Cover and storage

The pillow comes with a removable, washable cover and an easy to carry box. That box means it can travel to a hostel or a hotel room without being handled like luggage. Wash the cover following the label.

Caring for the pillow

Air the pillow each morning. Keep the foam core out of water, out of a washing machine and out of direct sun. Spot clean marks with a damp cloth and mild soap, and use a protector under the pillowcase.

The Vitacool memory pillow is the flat version of this idea, and the memory pillow range shows the rest. World Sleep Day publishes free guidance on neck support at worldsleepday.org.

Because the contour holds the neck on either side, you can turn through the night without losing support. If your neck feels worse in the morning, that steady height is the part that helps most.

If you prefer a flat pillow, the Vitacool is the flatter option. Because this one is contoured, it feels different under the neck from the first night.
